Day 9
Today was my first day at the official Host Ambassador in the AIM studio. I will be the Host Ambassador every Thursday morning. It was a very quiet day in the studio; only 10 people in and only two took part in any activity. One man just sat and listened to the music while waiting for his appointment. I find it interesting how it is usually children who bring in their parents. Kids just have a natural desire to create, play, imagine. Then we adults, stuff it deep inside of them telling them there are more important things to do which leads to adults that are afraid, or unsure how, to do something that is natural to every human being: create.

Day 8
I was the host ambassador for the AIM studio once again. There were about 20 people in, so the morning was busy. I helped people to make healing cranes for most of the time although some people did work on some string paintings. I am happy to be a volunteer in this program, but I'm wondering if only being in the studio for 1/2 of the day is allowing me to fully appreciate the healing effect on patients. I'm only in the studio for about 3.5 to 4 hours each week and I'm just not sure that's enough. I am yearning to really work with patients and experience the good feelings of helping someone in need. For now I will continue to do what I've been doing and hopefully an opportunity will open up.
